Cole, this is critically valuable work, that is how we preserve and restore democracy starting at the ground level. I still have fond memories having worked there and live nearby in St. Albert back in 1981-85. I pray enough people pay attention and get involved.

Thank you.

This is information is so incredibly and responsibly valuable! It's so challenging to find credible sources of information on candidates for municipal elections, let alone school trustees.

The stakes are so high and you've just handed Edmontonians your "Coles notes"!!

Thank you so much for your time and work!

I'm not even from Edmonton...I live in Ontario, LoL! But you can bet the rest of the country is watching what happens there!

I would love to see something like this for Medicine Hat.

I noticed that the progressive candidates for the Mayor, Council and EPSB are mentioned. Notable for their abscence are the progressive candidates for the Edmonton Catholic School Board. I must assume they are up for elections as well. I might just remind everyone that the Catholic systems in Alberta are PUBLIC schools. They are government funded and must accept any students that wish to attend. They are not "religious schools" in the sense that many of the private schools follow a heavily right wing type of christianity. Other schools ( I am not sure if they all still exist) like the Hebrew school, the Islamic schools, are public in that they are/were a part of a public school board, such as EPSB. I am sure there are Trustees in the Catholic system that could be defined as progressive educational thinkers while others may be more, shall we say traditional. Is it assumed that the UCP rightwing ideologues do not have Catholic people who are just as right wing as they? I am just wondering because ECSB has many schools and those students are subject to the same curriculum as those at EPSB, save for the particular religious classes they take. Just wondering if this was an oversight of a list of those trustee candidates will be forthcoming. Do not assume that there are no Catholic UCPers out there looking to force that district in a very right wing manner.

Will you please recommend good candidates for Red Deer? I have started a list and would like to compare it with yours. Thank you very much!
