I am glad that Premier Eby finally got the attention of the legacy media. We have been living with this separatism dream far too long. It has been a historical but whiny movement. Now with these American agents going south to seek funding, it is high time the other Premiers weigh in, and given his position, I understand the Prime Ministers response. It was the diplomatic thing to do. But this separatism thing is not just an Alberta issue and must be taken seriously by the other provinces and Ottawa.
Trumps rant on the jets. I do not believe that Trump wrote the tweet posted himself. When he was "more sane" his tweets were jibberish, but they are no longer full of capitalizations, incorrect grammar and now are full sentences, proper sentence structure and actually very formalized syntax. He may sign them or someone in his office writes and posts these things.. I think he or whoever wrote the tweet will find that Canada will not be bullied into certifying his beloved Gulfstream jets.
Finally, I came across Prime Minister Carney;s speech at the Media Producers event. I didn't know that was what it was for. All the good natured talk about hockey and a film, seemed to not be on the First Ministers Conference agenda. Watched it all, and was so proud of him. He showed a sense of humour and gave an entertaining speech, while subtly pointing out that the film could not get support in the US and came BACK to Canada, where it was financed and produced in this country. It showed another side of the Prime Minister we don't regularly see. Again upstaging Trump and particularly Poilievre.
Well in ALL honesty, I personally would be thrilled if the entire batch of US hockey teams were no longer a part of the NHL. That belonged to us and Bettman took it ALL AWAY and made it all about the US teams and how much MONEY they could make!
If, and it’s only if, it gets to the point where they are looking to join the US, the chances of them getting their hands on that loan are looking slim as even completion of Trump’s ballroom is at serious risk.
So I’m not an aviation expert but for anyone who is I gotta know those bombardier tarriffs is there actual meat to these that could actually hurt us or is this something else that’s gonna bite Trump in the ass like usual
